Here’s an example: A student with a strong aptitude for math and science may struggle with the intensive writing components demanded by these academic subjects. A Sylvan tutor understands how frustrating this can be for a student who really loves algebra, biology, chemistry, physics or biology. Our tutor focuses on showing the child how to take his knowledge and transfer it to the page. Grades improve and homework time becomes so much easier. A tutor will get to know your child, keep lessons fresh and fun, and will not move forward until your child has completely mastered each new skill. After 12 hours of instructions, we conference with parents, make any necessary changes to the program, and answer any of your questions or concerns. And if you wish, we will consult with your child’s teacher to ensure progress is occurring in the classroom.
